Jenny and Steve – May the 4th be with you! A real life wedding

‘Steve kept “poking” me on Facebook until I gave in and accepted his friend request’ was Jenny’s account on how her and Steve first met. From this came the marriage of Jenny and Steve at Clearwell Castle.

Steve proposed to Jenny on Christmas Day, 2016,  surrounded by Jenny’s family.

Steve – ‘I knew as soon as we saw the photo’s that there would be no need to look at any other venues. It sold us at first sight.’

Jenny – ‘Clearwell Castle speaks for itself, the moment we parked we knew it was the place we wanted to marry.’

Securing a cancellation date with us, Jenny and Steve had four months until the wedding day!

Prior to the Ceremony our Groom was pacing around The Drake Room with his best man. Nerves!!

Jenny in The Gresham Suite getting ready was the perfect start to the day, watching the arrival of guests. It was all getting very real!!

Jenny walked down the ballroom aisle to Eva Cassidy – Songbird. The lyrics meaningful to the couple.

Steve’s wedding day highlight – ‘Seeing my daughters, the Bridesmaids walk down the aisle, then the chief bridesmaid and then not turning around until Jenny was close to me. Seeing her for the first time on our wedding day was amazing. She was (and still is!) breath-taking.’

Jenny – ‘Fluffing my vows as I was so nervous was really funny and watching our wedding video back still makes me smile. The best bit though was when the ring bearer was asked for the all important rings and unexpectedly said he’d pawned them. The look on the registrars face was a picture.’

Jemima Philips played the harp as Jenny, Steve and all their guests exited.

The first dance, a wedding day classic.

‘Our first dance was Jason Mraz – I won’t give up, which is just made for us…. Most couples go through difficult times, we wanted to say to each other on our special day, that we’ll always be there.’

Steve and Jenny took their vows at Clearwell Castle on the 4th May 2017 – a theme, simple – Star Wars!

A final word from Steve – ‘Can we do it all again.. please??’
