We are delighted to announce that Clearwell Castle has won an award at Hitched Wedding Awards 2024 in the Castle Wedding Venue Category – this was awarded was thanks to all the amazing reviews & testimonials that our couples gave us in 2023!
The Castle was also voted ‘Best Castle Wedding Venue’ at the British Wedding Awards 2020! This is an incredible achievement after being shortlisted this category at both Hitched’s UK Wedding Awards 2019 AND the British Wedding Awards 2019! We were voted ‘Best UK Wedding Venue’ in the British Wedding Awards 2018 by our couples & readers of Wedding Ideas Magazine for the third year running – fingers crossed we can make four in a row!
We were finalists for the same awards in 2015. In addition, we were shortlisted as ‘Best Castle Wedding Venue’ at the UK Wedding Awards 2017, were regional winners at the English Wedding awards 2016, and were overall winners of the Wedding Ideas Awards in 2012 and 2010.
I cannot let this wonderful occasion pass by without also expressing my thanks to you all at Clearwell Castle for a splendid day. I can easily see why you are one of the top wedding venues in the UK.

The standard of food was excellent and commented upon by many of the guests. The beautiful grounds were such a highlight and commented upon by every guest.
We married at Clearwell Castle and we honestly could not recommend this venue highly enough.

Wow, wow, wow! We had high expectations, and knew it was going to good, but oh my days you blew us away!
Laur and I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for all your hard work on our wedding, you were instrumental in giving us the best day ever, a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
Checking on keeper’s cottage the night before, everything being done for us, making non-alcoholic drinks look fancy, carrying elderly relatives’ bags to their room, sending us extra pictures, the food… everything!
A special thank you to Laura for all your hard work running the day, it went so smoothly, and everything was so perfect – we couldn’t have dreamed for it to go any better.
Simon Cooper was awesome and the staff were amazing including the waiting, cleaning, DJ & bar teams. Everyone was constantly smiling and endlessly helpful.

We wanted to share our gratitude for making our big day a reality. It was a long tale of planning and Ann, we cannot thank her enough for helping us to create what was the best day of our lives. We are so pleased we chose Clearwell Castle as our venue.
It was great to see our guests mixing in such a beautiful location. All commented on how stunning the Castle was, as well as the high standard of the food and drink.
Emma showed us around Clearwell Castle and was so lovely, explained everything and was clearly passionate about the venue.
