‘Boudoir Photography…for your eyes only!’

Traditional wedding photography follows a very set format- most couples book a photographer for their Wedding day and have all of the standard photo shots – a group shot, family pictures etc. Now, many wedding photographers and couples are looking for new and different ways to be creative and take memorable photographs.

Becoming increasingly popular is a pre-wedding intimate photo shoot for the Bride to give as a gift to her new Groom and photographers say an increasing number of blushing Brides-to-be are requesting up close and personal photo shoots.

It is thought the trend has been fuelled by the success of the hit novel 50 Shades of Grey, with more women now wanting to “look and feel sexy” before getting hitched!

Many of the women send the professional pictures as a special gift to their partners on the eve of their wedding. Gary Barnes, who runs Bridgend-based photography business Impulse Glamour, told Wales on Sunday that requests for “Bridal boudoir photography” had doubled at his studio in the last year. He said: “It is something that is very popular and has been increasingly popular over the past few years. It’s a personal gift that you can give to your partner and it also freezes that moment in time that he can look back on as a special part of the wedding.”

Certainly an interesting idea!

Another trend that seems to be sweeping the photography world is “morning after wedding photos”.

Some couples are hiring photographers to capture images of them on their first morning as man and wife giving them more ‘intimate’ photos together to look back on.

What do you think of these trends?!
