Come and dine at the Castle on Tuesday 10th July 2018 at our Dinner Date Evening.

Our Dinner Date Evening provides a fantastic opportunity to sample the chefs cooking.

Arrive at the Castle from 5pm with dinner being served at 7pm.

 

The Menu

Starters

Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli
Confit Ham Hocks garnished with warm croutes, dressed leaves and served with homemade piccalilli

Chicken and Prosciutto Salad
Served with celeriac remoulade, watercress, smoked crispy prosciutto and sage and garlic brioche croutons

Beetroot Carpaccio (V)
Thinly sliced poached beetroot with Goat’s cheese mousse & balsamic glaze and wild herb dressing

Roasted Artichoke and Sun Blushed Tomato Salad
A whole roasted globe artichoke, served with tossed sun blushed tomato and salad leaves and garnished with balsamic and red pepper salsa

 

Main Courses

Pan Fried Wild Mushroom and Garlic Chicken
Served on colcannon potato with a garlic and wild mushroom sauce and crispy parma ham

Roasted Loin of Pork
Encased in crispy local crackling set upon buttered Charlotte potato cakes
Served with a cider jus

Pan Fried Fillet of Sea Bass
Served on sweet potato puree with a caper and herb dressing and red vein sorrel

Roasted Vegetable Moussaka (V)
Provençale roasted vegetables layered with sliced aubergine and a rich cheese sauce

 

Desserts

Blueberry and Vanilla Crème Brulee
Rich vanilla custard with a crispy caramel top accompanied by blueberry compote and biscotti biscuit

Chocolate and Cherry Tart
Rich chocolate tart loaded with brandy soaked cherries paired with vanilla ice-cream making this a truly luxurious dessert!

Vanilla Panacotta
A rich vanilla cream finished with crunchy biscotti and raspberry sorbet

Chocolate and Cointreau Parfait
A dark chocolate mousse infused with orange liqueur and served with caramelized orange segments

£35.00 per person for two courses 
£110.00 per person for three courses and overnight stay
