How can an Icy White Wedding theme add class to your Winter Wedding?

Here at Clearwell Castle we have noticed more and more Winter Weddings with less and less colour. A neutral colour scheme can add an air of elegance and class to your special day.

Ice sculptures are growing in popularity and leading ice sculptors hand carve an array of designs from elegant swans, flamingos, love hearts, love birds or beautiful unique designs to capture the theme running through your wedding day.

Scarlett and James perfected this idea in a very classic and classy manner.  Their centrepieces were white roses encased in ice, which made the tables look fresh and crisp.  Their seating plan followed this theme encased in ice and the Castle was candle lit throughout creating a sense of serenity.

Scarlett and James carried the ‘White’ theme on to their Candy Stand which was made up of all white sweets.

They finished the look off with all white flowers including White Roses and Paperwhites. The effect in the Ballroom was stunning.

The best way to achieve an ‘icy’ feel is to cover the tables with crisp white linen and cover chairs with either white, silver or pale blue chair covers. You could spray snow onto windows and dangle snowflakes from window frames.

White Wedding Cakes with little or no decoration are also very fashionable for a classic Winter Wedding.

Couples like to go with ‘what’s hot’ in the wedding world and white really does seem to be the in trend colour for Winter 2012. Brides are even opting for white bridesmaid’s dresses.

What with ice sculptures, white dresses, white cakes and white flowers for a classic and elegant look for your wedding this wedding white really is the way to go!
