It was the 29th April 2001 and the wedding of Tracey and Ian.
Now it’s 2018 and the daughter of Tracey and Ian – Natalya – now works at Clearwell Castle.

And now the words of Tracey
“After months and months of looking at different venues for our wedding we found the perfect location right on our doorstep in The Forest of Dean. We were married at Clearwell Castle on 29th April 2001.
The venue offered everything we had been looking for: superb location, magical ambience with exclusive and unshared use of this beautiful castle. We were told to ‘treat it as your home and enjoy every moment.’
Every single detail of our perfect wedding was covered, over and above our expectations. All the guest rooms were individual, unique and stunning. The grounds offered a beautiful backdrop for our treasured photographs whilst creating memories with games on the lawn.
From the canapes served whilst the harpist played to the fabulous lunch followed by evening buffet – everything was to the highest standard. Our beautiful wedding cake was on display and whilst we cut into it – each slice had a delicate heart with each guests name on so they could come and collect a special treat.
After enjoying greeting our evening guests we were all called to the balcony at the front of the castle at 9pm. An incredible firework display then lit up the sky over the stunning grounds of the castle.
Our wedding truly is one that is still talked about as one of the best ever. And now years on our daughter who was our beautiful 5 year old flower girl now actually works at this fabulous place – showing others that dream weddings really can come true!”

“It is a dream come true to work at the venue where my mum and dads happily ever after started. Nearly 18 years on and still to this day I remember gazing up to the castle in awe of all its beauty, never did I think all this time later I would be fortunate to work here. The castle will always hold a very special place in my heart”
