Following on from last week’s blog, I have continued with some new ideas with the letters H-N. I hope this gives you lots more inspiration!
H – Honeymoon
Getting away with your new spouse is fantastic after the big day. It’s a great time to relax and reflect on all of the special memories from your wedding.
I – Invitations
You should send out invitations 6 weeks before your wedding day. They should include all of the vital information about your day such as timings, location and RSVP date. It is a good idea to also include a small insert with information on your gift list and any other detailed information that you want your guests to know. Include a map so your guests don’t get lost on the big day! We offer a full range of wedding stationery; please contact us for more details.
J – Jewellery
The wedding ring is the most important item so don’t let your other jewellery dominate! Traditionally no rings should be worn apart from your engagement ring, worn on the right hand leaving your wedding ring finger free. Your engagement ring will go back on your left hand after you are married.
K – Keepsakes
Keepsakes are things you will look back on in years to come. Keep things during the planning stages as well as from your big day- you will be glad you did one day when you are reminiscing!
L – Lighting
Lighting is really important and can change the whole atmosphere of a room. I would recommend candles as they create a really intimate atmosphere as well as looking very effective. Candles as centrepieces as shown below from our candle package are a very popular centrepiece option for your tables especially for winter weddings.
M – Martini
Welcome drinks are traditionally bucks fizz or sparkling wine but it is quirky to go for something a little bit different. Martinis are very popular, taste amazing and look great- they are summery, fruity and very James Bond! Our cosmopolitan Martini is a must for summer weddings.
N – Nails
Make sure your nails are manicured for showing off that all important ring! It is a good idea to get your nails done the day or the night before so there is less chance of chipping. We can even arrange for a beautician to come to the Keepers Cottage to pamper you and do your nails.
Come back next week for part 3 of the wedding alphabet!
