Could not fault the service on the day, and this was noted by all of our guests, with some specifically noting how impressive the wedding breakfast service was (everyone getting the right meals with perfect timing), seamless and attentive.

Nothing was too much trouble, and staff appeared relaxed and confident. Clearly representative of the work environment, which is great to see.

Ela was fabulous throughout, answered emails in a timely manner and provided advice and guidance when needed. On the day, she was a machine, and it was clear she played a huge part in ensuring the day went smoothly. Overall, she was very easy to work with and ensured the planning and the day were enjoyable rather than stressful. 

Very well maintained, we were shocked that the gardens are maintained every day between weddings – top notch!

All of our guests were impressed with the service, our families commented how the service was so professional and seamless – the staff were there quietly in the background running everything so smoothly, adding to the day without distractions etc. All staff were so friendly and attentive. 10/10 team, which should be treasured as hard to come by to have such nice service all around!

Food was amazing – chefs did so well for so many people! Everyone still comments over 5 weeks later – best wedding food they have eaten as taste, portions and quality of food were so good! Allergies were also followed carefully, including gluten-free etc choices. We are so pleased. 

The cleanliness was outstanding inside. All rooms were used during our wedding, and we found no issue with any of them. All the rooms inside Clearwell astonished us for different reasons. Everything was neat and unique.

We had many photos outside in all areas due to the amazing scenery of the Castle. Everyone commented on how well-kept the venue is. We were amazed by the bedrooms on our visits, and all our guests were in agreement. Clean, colourful, luxurious and huge. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodation.

The duration of our wedding was a blur as it went by so quickly; however, Ela was there right from the beginning of the day, guiding us all on what was to come next, checking throughout the morning on how we were doing and if we needed anything. The service was impeccable. We went for the pizza buffet in the end. We were undecided for so long, as all the options looked really nice. All guests agreed that we went for the right option, and they loved it.

Most places are watered down when you order drinks, but this is not the case at this venue. No weak drinks and bar staff smiling, laughing and talking when ordering at the bar. Our Personal Wedding Manager, Ela, is a fantastic person; she’s excellent at the job she does. Her communication thought this entire process was outstanding.

The interior of the venue is beautiful, a historic building, but clean and cared for. A perfect blank canvas for anyone’s wedding, but equally stunning enough without any extras.

Everyone was absolutely phenomenal; they all worked so hard, and it was so clear to see the effort and kindness they all put in. They made the whole weekend an absolute joy. Ela is absolutely wonderful, and wow, she worked so hard at the wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly. She was everywhere when you needed her, she is so kind and considerate, she held my mum’s hand when she got stressed out by relatives not knowing how to use a door properly. Ela was brilliant and treated everyone with so much respect and kindness; she looked after everyone. We were all so looked after, and the staff were all absolutely wonderful and kind, and I wish I could have hugged all of them to say thank you.

Oh, dear lord, was the food just fantastic. Everyone kept talking about how good the food was and how beautiful it all looked. We enjoyed our menu tasting event, but wow, the wedding breakfast was somehow even better.

The castle was immaculately presented, and the attention to detail was paramount. The new bar was just stunning, and its new location suited the day perfectly.

Externally, the castle is immaculate both inside and out. The stonework has been kept to the highest standard. The rooms were all clean and beautifully presented.

We met with Ashley, who greeted us and was very helpful throughout the booking process. Phaedra was incredible from start to finish; she really was amazing. No question was too silly, and she would always be prompt to respond. Very organised and even on our wedding day, she was calm as a cucumber.

I would not hesitate to book your wedding at Clearwell Castle! We had the most amazing day! They were excellent from start to finish. Booking with Ashleigh was simple, and no question or request was ever stupid or too big.

We wish we could do it all over again. It’s the most gorgeous venue, and the grounds are stunning and well-kept. We can’t wait to get our pictures back. Fantastic venue, brilliant staff, good value for money. Overall, an amazing wedding day for us. Thank you, Clearwell!

Laura was just so kind and warm and welcoming – we did not feel uncomfortable and felt we could be ourselves, and there was no pressure to commit. She was really informative and knowledgeable about everything we asked about.

She was one of the reasons we decided to opt for Clearwell as our venue. We had visited many venues prior, and she was one of the few who made us feel comfortable. Ela was one of the nicest, down-to-earth people we have met. She was a joy to work with and made sure she understood all of our needs prior to the wedding.

She listened to our vision and helped us achieve everything we had hoped for. Nothing was too much trouble, and she is a gift to Clearwell and the team. Jordan and I were so grateful for everything she had done for us she made us feel like she was a friend rather than a client.

Absolutely stunning, every part of the decor was incredible, and the history maintained. Perfect venue. Again, the grounds, surrounding buildings, and the castle itself are just perfect and well-maintained. Many guests also complimented how stunning it was.

All the rooms we looked at were stunning, and I loved how Keeper’s Cottage looks straight into the Gresham Honeymoon Suite, which again was stunning!

Ela was absolutely incredible from the moment we were allocated her to be part of our journey. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she was always available to answer questions or explain any queries thoroughly, professional at all times and just a pleasure to be around.  Everyone was highly professional, always smiling, polite, and nothing was ever too much to ask. Again, the whole wedding planning/process/event was fantastic, and that is down to the team and the high delivery standards they uphold. Was an honour to have our wedding at Clearwell!

A huge number of compliments were received from guests on all the food served. Ela needs huge recognition for a perfect execution, and also her team the night before and the day of the wedding, nothing was too much trouble.

The house was beautiful inside, especially with the Christmas tree. We really liked the understated elegance vibe, which meant it looked amazing but was still warm and welcoming.

Despite the horrible weather, the grounds always looked immaculate whenever we visited and also on our special day. The bedrooms are beautiful and in keeping with the rest of the house’s vibe.

Emma was just amazing and made the whole experience great. Her timely planning and advice made the experience really easy and not stressful at all. She always went above and beyond, especially on the day, setting up all our cakes, moving our table decorations downstairs for the evening, which really made us feel well looked after and added to the specialness of the day. All the food on the day was lovely, really well-cooked and presented.

Everything was set up beautifully! I was so emotional and loved every moment and attention to detail!

Inside the house, everything looked as I imagined! Perfect and classical. Grass and grounds were beautifully cared for and just made the scenery magical.

The food is just amazing! I would 100% recommend the food to anyone. Breakfast the following morning – Loved how everything was set out and so delicious, a peaceful breakfast which was needed from the night before. I love the welcome drinks; they were a big hit with guests, too.

Ann and Ruby, honestly dream team right there! I couldn’t have asked for better people to make my day so special, and I hold a place in my heart for them for helping my day be absolutely amazing.
