Saving the best present until last, Connor proposed to Amy on her birthday. A special and intimate moment for the two of them to share at their home.
The couple wanted a venue that had “a breathtaking appearance for a lasting memory” and after researching wedding venues online they attended one of Clearwell Castles Open Days… It was the venue for them.
“The fact we knew everyone would be comfortable in such a beautiful building, surroundings and amazing food made our decision even easier.”
With the venue booked everything else began to fall in place. A simple and classy theme for the day featuring the colour white and lots of natural foliage. Sticking with the simple and classy theme Amy wore a beautiful long sleeve, high neck wedding dress. To compliment the dress Connor bought Amy a tiara and earrings as his special gift to her.
“When I first saw Amy at the end of the aisle, I couldn’t believe I was marrying her. She looked stunning!”
After receiving his suit in the post, Connor quickly realised it was not the one he had originally ordered but he turned out to love it even more than his first choice! Connor wore a pair of cufflinks with rugby balls on, a gift from Amy.
Amy’s chief bridesmaid, a close friend of hers for 10 years, wore a sage green dress from Coast. The two flower girls fell in love with 2 pretty white dresses. The best man and 2 groomsmen were gifted a box – each full of their wedding day necessities. They wore similar suits to Connor to tie the wedding party together. Amy’s father walked her down the aisle to Connor who was eagerly waiting.
“It was a short and simple ceremony which had a nice relaxed atmosphere, led fantastically by the registrars.”
Following on from their Wedding Breakfast, their speeches were both heartfelt and funny – a lovely atmosphere.
As requested our House DJ played Alicia Keys “If I Haven’t Got You” for Connor and Amy’s first dance.
