We know that the current Coronavirus (COVID 19) outbreak is causing much distress with many of our couples & their guests so we hope the below information will provide you with the clarity you need during these uncertain times.
Are we still running weddings & events at Clearwell Castle?
We are currently only holding ceremonies for up to 6 people under exceptional circumstances, in accordance with Lockdown guidelines & restrictions that are in place at the current time. However, as per the Government’s roadmap, announced on the 22nd February, we will soon be able to do the following – subject to change:
From 8th March 2021 at the earliest, we are able to hold ceremonies for 6 people as per the current guidelines, but exceptional circumstances will no longer be required.
From 12th April 2021 at the earliest, we are able to hold ceremonies and receptions for up to 15 guests. Restrictions prohibit the use of our accommodation during this period.
From 17th May 2021 at the earliest, we are able to hold ceremonies and receptions for up to 30 guests. Our accommodation can also be utilised.
From the 21st June 2021 at the earliest, we will be able to hold ceremonies and receptions without any restrictions.

Are we still holding viewing appointments at Clearwell Castle?
We are able to offer private virtual tours of Clearwell Castle using cutting edge 3D technology. Unfortunately, due to the current Lockdown, we are unable to offer on-site viewing appointments, however, we are hoping to commence on-site viewings from the 29th March 2021, subject to confirmation from the government. I’ve booked my wedding and would like to come and visit Clearwell Castle – can I?
Our 3D virtual tour is now available to use by all of our couples that have weddings booked with us – please email firstname.lastname@example.org for your personal login details. If you’d really like to see the venue in real life again (which is understandable!) then please contact us on the above email to arrange a time that is convenient, when restrictions have been lifted.
My wedding is directly impacted by newly-announced government restrictions, what should I do?
If your wedding has been directly impacted by newly announced restrictions, we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options. If your concern is a result of a government update that has just been announced, please bear in mind that we will be hearing these updates at the same time as you do so we may need some time to process before we can move forward.
I have a wedding booked at Clearwell Castle in the coming months, what should I do?
