The Insider’s View – Emma and Dave, A Real Life Blog.

Emma, Clearwell Castle’s Sales Manager celebrated their wedding reception at the Castle, 10 years after meeting her partner, Dave.

Dave proposed to Emma in North Wales whilst on a surprise weekend break with a video ending “Will you marry me?”.

Emma has worked at Clearwell Castle for just under 5 years and although initially Emma didn’t want to get married at her place of work, it became apparent to her that nothing could compare to the beauty of Clearwell Castle, thus it had to be!

Emma – “I always remember coming to the Castle for my interview, driving through the Portcullis and seeing the Castle just takes your breath away for the first time. I remember entering the Castle for the very first time and being welcomed into someone’e grand but cosy manor house. Still to this day, I think the Castle has that homely feel and having the venue as exclusive use on your big day, you get to share it with all your closest friends and family.”

Dave and his groomsmen spent the evening before the wedding out having food and drinks.

Emma and Dave had their ceremony at a church local to Emma’s parents home, with Emma spending the morning with family and friends relaxed.

Emma – “As i got into the Wedding Car with my Dad, it felt like i was in a bubble – it felt surreal that in about 20 minutes time I would be entering the church to get married. As i walked up to the door of the church, I just remember having the biggest smile on my face and started feeling the butterflies of nerves and excitement.”

The newly married couple arrived back at the Castle to celebrate.

Their three course wedding breakfast was dramatically interrupted by singing waiters.

Emma and Dave decided to have their evening reception in our main hall, drawing room and cocktail bar, with their evening buffet in the ballroom.

Wedding day, done. Honeymoon time!!!

Emma – “I speak to so many couples after their wedding day who say the day really doesn’t last long enough or goes too quickly – I can vouch for that! It really was the best day and it just flew by. For anyone getting married…. And especially at Clearwell Castle, spend as much as you can together, take in every moment, every second and capture it because before you know it the day has gone but you will be left with the most amazing memories forever!”
