We can’t recommend Clearwell Castle enough! It is truly the most beautiful place, and the perfect setting for a wedding! As soon as we turned up to have a look around, greeted by the two donkeys at the entrance and seeing a wonderful array of red and orange leaves on all the trees, we just knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The staff can’t do enough to help, and are always available when you need them, even in the middle of a pandemic! They fully supported us when we said we wanted to go ahead with our wedding this year rather than postpone, and we wouldn’t change a thing looking back!
On the day itself, we were both very nervous, but staff helped keep us calm, making us laugh and ensured everything ran smoothly. The food and drink were absolutely delicious, and guests are still talking about it!
Our day was quite different to what we had planned; 15 guests rather than 60, masks worn during the ceremony, social distancing, having to eat and drink whilst sat down at a table rather than mingling, no evening party or buffet… but it was still perfect in every way! We were even able to do a Zoom call for all the guests who couldn’t come so they were still able to watch!
Lastly, if anyone is in two minds whether or not to have fireworks, we would 100% recommend as they really were the icing on the cake!
